Women everywhere are reading this and vigorously nodding their heads, followed by exasperated cursing.

(For the record, the mansplainers think you’re helpless when you’re married, too.)

I've been very surprised by the frequency and intensity of these encounters. Doesn't seem "normal" -- as if anything is...

I ran into an otherwise charming and caring male nurse the other day who could not stop himself from mansplaining everything about cats without ever stopping to ask how many cats I've had in my long life, or having any interest in whether my cats exhibited any of the habits he was expounding on.

Yes, the splainers never ask about or show any interest in you 😒

I’m surprised that you aren’t able to use your full height as an intimidation factor. Maybe start invading their personal space while doing that, with an Iris look of “come on, really!” on your face?

I've also wondered about that and asked myself why my height isn't more intimidating to these guys. I'm probably just being too nice, which must encourage more verbosity. Guess I'll have to practice my Iris face 😜

Only a few special people know the full impact of that experience. 😜

Glad you met Carol. She’s a good one. Turns out she went to our high school but we met at Shadowridge!

Carol is wonderful, an ambassador of kindness! Just like you.

Regrettably, I mansplain too much, I am afraid. You are right, it is not always helpful.

But your intentions are always the BEST!
